Headquarters was purchased in 2013 from a local construction contractor due to the need for additional space to meet the growing needs of the department and community. Headquarters houses the administrative offices as well as Engine 122, Engine 125, Brush 127, Truck 1, and UTV 12.

Station 1 - Eddie A. Whitener Fire Station

1820 Zion Church Rd, Hickory, NC 28602

Built in 2025 to help improve insurance ratings for residents and businesses in the Zion Church Rd, Bethel Church Rd, and River Rd areas of Mountain View. Station 1 houses Engine 123, Tanker 126, and Tuck 2. Sation 1 is named in Honor of Chief Eddie Whitener who served as Fire Chief from 1965 - 1983.

Station 2 - G. Errol Ward Fire Station

1540 Henry River Rd, Hickory, NC 28602

Built in 2004 to improve insurance ratings for residents and businesses in the Old Shelby Rd, George Hildebran Rd, and Henry River Rd areas of Mountain View. Station 2 houses Engine 121, Tanker 124, and Brush 128. Station 2 is named in Honor of Chief Errol Ward who served as Fire Chief from 1984 - 2005

Original Station 1 - Closed Fall of 2025

3323 NC-127, Hickory NC 28602

This was the original fire station and that was built in 1962 with two bays and an office. Over the years it was added on to and remodeled several times to accommodate the growth of the department and the community. Administrative offices were moved out of this building when Headquarters was purchased in 2013. All equipment was moved out of this building in 2025 when the current Station 1 was built.
